A big round of acknowledgement to longtime member Dave Gleske, voted by his peers
as Member of the Year for the 2011-2012 season. Many a searcher has been happy to
see Dave show up in the cat on a stormy night, ready to haul us back to civilization.
And a tip of the hat to incoming President Chris McConnell and Vice-President Jimmy
Smith, while Sara Carbonari will be coaching the three new Directors Scott Meyer, Troy Corliss,
and Paul Honeywell. Congratulations to you all!
And finally a tip of the glass and hat to outgoing President Russ Viehmann, who served
the team well for oh so many years. We suppose he's looking forward to retiring to a seat
in the back of the Ski Hut, where he can be the source - rather than the recipient - of the
monthly heckling.
See you all in October!
Note that all the trainings, search reports, and newsletter from any particular season
(past or present) are under the "Archives" menu drop down at the top of any page.
TNSAR has a wealth of pictures, taken mostly from trainings. If any pictures were
taken on a training, you will find them under the annual training archives (see the
drop down menu at the top) for that particular training (note that Internet Explorer
does not [yet] display these pictures; yet another reason to try a web browser other
than IE). Additionally, you can also look at all the organized pictures
on one page.
TNSAR is always looking for fresh faces and new enthusiasm. We are a team of broad
roles, interests and needs, to include but not limited to:
Searchers (skiers and sledders)
Comm Van personnel
Truck caretakers
Administrative
Public Relations
Grant and Donation management
WWW management
TGSR (the list here is endless)
If you are interested in any of these types of roles, or generally interested in TNSAR,
please show up at the next general meeting to get your questions answered. The majority
of the team representatives are not searchers; we have a variety of needs and seats for all.
Come check us out!
